Beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere, good pub grub with massive servings. Really friendly staff and locals.

Called in just to have a look, stayed for lunch. Great service and food. Inside is quaint, outside had several lovely shaded areas to sit.The ablutions are a good standard and clean. We will be back

Thanks to the owners and staff for a great Christmas dinner for 12 on the 15th November.Food was excellent. The owner excelled in preparing the dining room to to reflect the Christmas spirit.We were able to free camp in the car park and use the toilet and shower facilities, thus allowing us to enjoy a few too many drinks !Much fun was had and even the staff joined in

Beautiful old pub. Friendly owner, great steaks and lush lawn to chill on outside.If you have a caravan they let you park for free outside (if space available) if you visit the pub for a meal and I think this is fantastic and wish I had a van.Minor negatives, limited booze selection. Kitchen closes at 8pm and they stop taking orders approx 7:45pm. Accommodation is very basic/boring but they do include a self service continental breakfast.I love staying at old pubs and the price is pretty standard for shared facility accommodation. The most memorable places for me had grand beds, antiques and other interesting touches to the rooms. My room had 2 beds, pedestal fan and a dresser missing a mirror. I suspect it was the worse room in the house as it was the last one available.I would definitely visit again but I wouldn’t stay again unless in my own van.

Went for a ride with 30 other motorcyclists and had lunch here.Great country pub atmosphere.Roaring fire in the middle of winter.

Dirty rooms. Breakfast we gave to the dog. Was such a shame as it’s a gorgeous pub & beautiful settings. Will we be back? Nope!
